Summary of the project: The European Week of Judo Vales (EWJV) is a Not-For Profit European Local Sport Event Type 1 that seeks to implement 3 events in 3 European Cities (Lisbon, Rijeka and Ljubljana) in the scope of the European Week of Sport. The general objective of EWJV is to promote Ethical and Healthy values through the practice of Judo, through Judo Ethical and Healthy Values The general objective of this project is to Improve the capability of sport event organisers to promote a sports-for-all approach through (1) raising awareness regarding the need for living ethical and healthy values of/in Judo, and (2) training Judo human resources (coaches and others) and Judo’s community0s (parents, friends, and general public) on the practice of Judo ethical and healthy values. In line with EWJDs, and based on bencharmarking and diagnosis done in the beginning, the project intends to create a specific open-source “Judo Ethical and Healthy Values” toolkit (including its curricular framework, syllabus, handbook and didactic resources) & e-learning targeting Judo community. During the EWSV different Judo activities and workshops will be done with the support of the National Federations of Portugal, Croatia and Slovenia and the European Judo Union. Partners of the project are 3 clubs well-known at their own countries (Escola de Judo Nuno Delgado, Rikecki Sportski Savez (RSS) Sportno Drustvo GIB with large experience in developing projects using Judo as an educational tool and in proving activitides related to healthenhancing physical activity and citizenship through Judo.
